imehi dīpadhūpādisakkārehi buddhaṃ dhammaṃ saṅghaṃ abhipūjayāmi mātāpitādīnaṃ gunavantānañca mayhañca dīgharattaṃ atthāya hitāya sukhāya For the long term good, welfare, and happiness of such benefactors as my mother, father, etc., and for myself, I honor the Buddha, Dhamma, and Sangha with these offerings of candles, incense, etc.
namo tassa bhagavato arahato sammāsambddhassa. (repeat 3 times) Homage to the exalted one, the worthy one, the perfectly self-enlightened one.
itipi so bhagavā arahaṃ sammāsambuddho vijjācaranasampanno sugato lokavidū anuttaro purisadammasārathi satthā devamanussānaṃ buddho bhagavāti tam arahādigunasamyuttaṃ buddhaṃ sirasā namāmi tañca buddhaṃ imehi sakkārehi abhipūjayāmi Such, indeed, is the exalted one: worthy, perfectly self-enlightened, endowed with knowledge and conduct, well-gone, knower of worlds, incomparable trainer of persons capable of being trained, teacher of gods and men, enlightened, exalted. With my head I do homage to the Buddha, who is endowed with such excellent qualities as conqueror, and I honor the Buddha with these offerings.
svākkhāto bhagavatā dhammo sanditthiko akāliko ehipassiko opanayiko pacattaṃ veditabbo viññūhiti taṃ svākkhātādigunasamyuttaṃ dhammaṃ sirasā namāmi tañca dhammaṃ imehi sakkārehi abhipūjayāmi Well expounded by the exalted one is the Dhamma, visible here and now, immediately effective, inviting investigation, leading onward, to be realized by the wise, each for himself. With my head I do homage to the Dhamma, which is endowed with such excellent qualities as being well expounded, etc., and I honor the Dhamma with these offerings.
supatipanno bhagavato sāvakasaṅgo ujupatipanno bhagavato sāvakasaṅgo ñāyapatipanno bhagavato sāvakasaṅgo sāmīcipatipanno bhagavato sāvakasaṅgo yadidaṃ cattāri purisayugāni attha purisapuggalā esa bhagavato sāvakasaṅgo āhuneyyo pāhuneyyo dakkhineyyo añjalikaranīyo anuttaraṃ puññakkhetaṃ lokassāti taṃ supatipannādigunasamyuttaṃ saṅghaṃ sirasā namāmi tañca saṅghaṃ imehi sakkārehi abhipūjayāmi Of good practice is the order of disciplines of the exalted one. Of straight practice is the order of disciplines of the exalted one. Of right practice is the order of disciplines of the exalted one. Of proper practice is the order of disciplines of the exalted one. Thus these four pairs of person, eight kinds of individuals, this order of disciplines of the exalted one is worthy of offerings, worthy of hospitality, worthy of gifts, worthy of reverential salutation, is an incomparable field of merit for the world. With my head I do homage to the Sangha, which is endowed with such excellent qualities as being of good practice, etc., and I honor the Sangha with these offerings.
iccevamaccantanamassaneyyaṃ namassamāno ratanattayam yaṃ puññābhisandaṃ vipulaṃ alatthaṃ tassānubhāvena hatantarāyo I have gained an abundant flood of merit thus honoring the Triple Gem, most highly worthy of respect. By the spiritual power of that merit, may obstacles be destroyed.
vandāmi cetiyaṃ sabbaṃ sabatthānesu patitthitaṃ saririkadhātumahābodiṃ buddharūppaṃ sakalaṃ sadā I respect always every memorial that may stand in any place, the bodily relics of the Buddha, the great Bodhi Tree, and all images of the Buddha.
