0. Ordained Monastics

The ordained monastics are members of the Sangha, the order of teaching mendicants originating from Buddha’s disciples 2,500 years ago.  From eldest to youngest, the members of the Sangha residing at Watt Dhammarangsi are:

1. Abbot Ven. Bhoga Tan
2. Ven. Noeung Nhang
3. Ven. Michael Tang
4. Ven. Tony Tang
5. Ven. Seoun Savy
6. Ven. Saravuthea Mom
7. Ven. Bunserey Rithy Kong

Ven. is short for Venerable, meaning an ordained religious official, who is worthy of deep respect.  In Khmer, we call such a person Daegun, or Preah-ong, as opposed to Lok for a lay clergy.
